RYMAN League Division One North strugglers, Great Wakering Rovers, have bolstered their hopes of avoiding relegation with the signing of defensive midfielder Loth Kalala from Southern Combination Premier Division side, Peacehaven & Telscombe.
The 25-year-old has spent time on trial in Sweden at various clubs, as well as at Sky Bet League One club, Peterborough United.
Speaking about the signing, Rovers manager, Keith Wilson, told the club’s official website: "We’ve signed him as he has a lot of experience at a high level and plays football the right way. In Tuesday’s friendly we gave him the game time to see how he played, reacted and coped with a good Conference South side and he didn’t disappoint. He’ll be travelling with us to Norwich United and I’m sure he’ll be involved in some way"
