LEGENDARY Colchester United striker, Ray Crawford, believes the U’s have enough about them to take all three points when Barnet are the visitors to the Weston Homes Community Stadium on Saturday.

Speaking to Yellow Sport ahead of the Sky Bet League Two clash, Crawford said: “The point Colchester gained at Blackpool showed that the spirit in the team is really good. They now face an inconsistent Barnet side, I think the U’s have the measure of them to be honest, particularly at home.

“I’d never take it for granted. But people are now talking about Colchester as play-off contenders. The players seem to have cut out the errors that were costing them points a while back, while the senior players are now displaying leadership and helping the younger lads.”

And Crawford added: “With the U’s facing back-to-back home games with Barnet and Crawley Town, six points could put them right back in the promotion mixer. Colchester are nicely placed they just need to push on and be brave.”
