Man jailed after robbing bank in Southend of more than £1,600

A MAN has been jailed for four years after robbing a bank in Southend of more than £1,600.

Gary Horn, 59, of Anerley Road, Westcliff, had pleaded guilty at Basildon Crown Court on Friday January 20 to robbing the Co-op bank in Southend of £1,670 on December 7 2016.

The court had heard Horn was previously convicted in 2013 for robbing the Lloyds Bank branch in Westcliff and again in 2015 for robbing the same Co-op branch.

He was sentenced at the same court on Friday, February 3.
