TWO MEN who were saved by firefighters from a burning house in Hornchurch on Monday have died in hospital.
They passed away after being rescued by crews from Hornchurch, Romford and Dagenham from a blaze in Laburnum Avenue.
A woman, who was also in the property at the time, was pronounced dead the scene earlier this week.
Dany Cotton, fire commissioner for London said: “My thoughts and those of everyone at the Brigade are with the friends and family of the three people who have died following the tragic fire in Hornchurch on Monday morning. Firefighters worked extremely hard and did all they could in difficult conditions.”
Crews arrived at 4.06am and extinguished the blaze at 5.48am.
Part of the ground floor of the mid-terraced house was damaged.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the brigade and the police at time of publication.
