Snaresbrook Primary School pupils tap into their inner Tennysons for a poetry session on fashion

By Rudi Abdallah in Arts

PUPILS from Snaresbrook Primary School flexed their poetic muscles at a workshop in Wanstead on Tuesday.

Students wrote and performed poems about fashion at the Allan Burgess Centre, in a session run by Redbridge Rhymesters, an arts group founded more than eight years ago by Alex Wilde, a Havering poet.

Snaresbrook Primary School will work with Age UK Redbridge, Barking and Havering in 2017, raising funds for the charity throughout the year as part of a programme of intergenerational activities,

A further poetry workshop has been arranged for October.
