Essex Police hunt teen who threatened boy, 12, with knife in attempted robbery in Grays

A 12-YEAR-OLD boy was threatened at with a knife during an attempted robbery in Grays on Tuesday.

The youngster was targeted at the junction of Thurloe Walk and Hathaway Road.

The boy, who was local, was on his bike when a teenage – also on a bike – approached him and forced him to stop.

The older boy pushed him backwards and demanded money, pulling out the handle of a knife.

He then told the younger boy to leave. Essex Police said the victim was left ’shaken but unhurt’.

The incident occurred at roughly 6.10pm.

The older boy was around 14 or 15, black, ’skinny’ and roughly 5’7” tall. He wore a blue puffer coat, dark blue jeans and a brown Gucci belt.
