CANVEY born music star Wilko Johnson is to headline the Royal Albert Hall for the first time later this year.
The Wilko Johnson Band show, on September 26, will celebrate the band’s 30th anniversary as well as Wilko’s 70th birthday.
The show comes after Wilko overcame pancreatic cancer, which he declared he was cancer-free from in October 2014 following radical surgery.
Wilko has played twice at the Royal Albert Hall in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust – alongside The Who singer and charity patron Roger Daltrey in 2014, and with his band in support of The Who in 2015.
