By YA Reporter in Crime

A CAR was stolen during a burglary in Billericay last month, said Essex Police.

The white Nissan Juke – with the numberplate FN66 WMW – was taken from a property in Grange Road on June 26, but police did not appeal for information until mid-July.

A handbag and two laptops were also taken during the burglary, which occurred at around 4.15am.

A bank card stolen during the break-in was used later on the same day to buy scratch cards from a local garage.

Police said they were ’keen to trace a man described as white, wearing a light grey zip-up jacket, dark tracksuit trousers and trainers, and a woman described as white with long, dark hair and wearing a white top and trousers’.

Anybody with information was asked to contact DC Jodie Kinsley at Basildon police station by dialling 101.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 5551111.
