THE HARD work of cyclists who took part in the Rotary Club of Thorpe Bay's Foulness Island bike ride in August last yearhave presented a check to Southend Hospital for £20,000.

The money was donated to the hospital's Keyhole Cancer Appeal.

Rotarians and those who marshalled at the event were invited to the reception last week.

They were treated to tea anc cake with keyhole surgeon Mike Dworkin.
