VILLAGERS are limbering up for their Pre-lympic Games.
The event at Navestock Village Hall, Brentwood, will have indoor and outdoor sports on the agenda.
Games in the hall include table tennis, short mat bowls and darts as well as board games such as draughts, dominoes and Scrabble and there will even be a chance to try your hand at air hockey.
Anyone who prefers to be in the fresh air has a choice of bouncy castle and organised games such as a sack race, egg and spoon race, three-legged race and a chance to try their skill at a penalty shoot out.
Organiser, Penelope Tyzak said: “We want this to be a fun day for everyone.
“It doesn't matter whether you are a champion or a beginner at any of the sports, just come and join in and enjoy the day.”
There will be music as well as an Olympic themed prize quiz, face painting and a prize raffle.
The event takes place in and around the village hall at Navestock Side, on Sunday July 8, from 11am to 4pm.
Competitors can register for as many events as they wish which will be organised on a tournament basis with medals awarded to the overall winners in a ceremony at the end of the day.
Tickets, costing £6 for adults and £4 for under 14s includes entry to any event and a hamburger and cold drink or tea / coffee and are available in advance from Penelope on 01277 372285 or Judith on 01277 373187 or just turn up on the day.
