Police launch fresh robbery appeal

POLICE are hunting two men over an attempted robbery.
They smashed their way into a house in Southend Road, Wickford, while a terrified 18-year-old pregnant woman was there.
The attempted burglary happened at 12.30pm on May 9 and police are still searching for the pair.
Investigating officer, DC Andy Rowley, said: “This was a very frightening experience for this young woman, who was thankfully unharmed during the incident.
“They made off empty-handed when they saw the victim was home but £600 damage was caused to the door.”
The first suspect is described as 18 to 19-years-old, clean shaven and 5ft 5ins tall.
He was wearing a jacket with two pockets, a dark woolly hat, white Nike trainers and latex gloves. He was also in possession of a knife.
The second suspect is white, aged about 18 to 19 with black hair and 5ft 8ins to 5ft 9ins. He was wearing a grey hoodie, dark jeans and black trainers.
