WITH just a couple of weeks until the start of the 2010/11 season, Lee Valley Lions are set to make their mark of the league after securing several new signings.

Gary Dodds, who played for the Lions in the 1990s, returns to the Lions’ Den after a long stint at Haringey.

Joining him is another ex-Greyhound, Stuart Appleby, alongside Chris Faulkner.

A host of last season’s Lee Valley team have re-signed, including Calum Heath, Adam Peach, David Dunnage and Glen Roper.

Captain James Hatfull is back for his fifth consecutive season, and making welcome returns after a season’s absence are netminder George Alley and high-scoring Ashley Curtin, a player who scored 24 goals in 25 games during the Lions’ 2008/09 season.

The Lions look set to impress this season and will entertain Chelmsford Warriors at their Lea Bridge Road rink on September 5, face-off at 5.15pm.
