YOUNGSTERS will have the chance to join in a session of rugby union on Sunday.

Brentwood Rugby Club will be holding an open day from 10am at King George’s Playing Fields in Ingrave Road, for children aged five and 12 years old on August 31, 2010.

There will be a chance for interested youngsters to join in training sessions and ask any questions they have to the club’s experienced coaches.

The club is celebrating its 75th anniversary this season, and are planning a development for a new clubhouse.

They have more than 200 children in the under six to under 12 age groups, known as the ‘Mini-Midi’ section, and hope to develop these players to go on to a another level of the game.

Anyone interested in coming along must wear boots, sports shirt and shorts, and bring along a sports bottle of water.
