FUNDRAISERS have been doing their bit for Children in Need over the last week.

Staff at Impulse Leisure challenged residents to taking part in an Aerobathon at the Civic Hall, in Blackshots, last Thursday night.

Kelly Walsh, aerobic co-ordinator, said: “We decided to organise this first ever Aerobathon because we felt it would not only be a great way for people to support Children in Need but would also help them improve their fitness!”

Staff at the Asda Living store, in West Thurrock, organised a spectacular fashion show on Tuesday.

More than 50 models of all ages were wearing the new George autumn/winter range and exclusive BBC Children in Need products available in store.

A spokesman for Asda said: “This was one of a series of events organised at stores around the country in the run up to the Children in Need event on Friday.”

Local dance troop from Alison Anderson’s School of Dance also entertained shoppers with their routines.
