Appeal to identify man after alcohol theft in Havering

Detectives investigating a report of shoplifting incidents in Havering where hundreds of pounds worth of alcohol was stolen have released an image of a man they would like to speak to.

Police received reports that £484 worth of alcohol was stolen from a shop in Gallows Corner, RM3, on Tuesday, November 10 at approximately 2.45pm. The next day, police received a report that £497 worth of alcohol had been stolen from a shop in Hornchurch Road, RM11 at approximately 11:30am.

An image has been released of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incidents.

Detective Constable Chloe Pudney, from the Met’s East Area Command Unit, said: “This was a shameless shoplifting spree and we will be pursuing all avenues to track down the person responsible.

“I’m interested in speaking with the man pictured in this image iand to anyone who may have information that could help progress this investigation.”
