Garon Park Walking Football Club over 65s’ title hopes suffered a blow after a single point was gleaned from nine on offer during the latest round of matches at Melbourne Park, Chelmsford.
Needing a maximum haul; to remain in touch, Garon slides to a disappointing defeat at the hands of struggling Southend and were then held to a goalless draw by another of the league’s lowly sides’ Romford, despite creating plenty of chances.
A dismal day was concluded when a tough test from Paringdon Pirates resulted in a single-goal defeat. Despite having games in hand over several teams ahead of them, Garon Park has slipped to ninth in the table having played eight matches.
