Aggravated burglary in Warley

Police are investigating an aggravated burglary in Warley.

A woman in her 80s reported a group of men broke into her address in Willowdene Court at around 10.00pm yesterday (Monday June 13) and demanded jewellery.

The men – who are described as wearing masks and black gloves – stole the woman’s wedding ring before making off in an SUV style vehicle similar to that of a VW Touran.

Two of the men are described as wearing navy blue or grey clothing.

One of the men is described as holding a crowbar.

Police are working to establish whether this and a similar incident in Waltham Abbey on the same night are linked.
