Appeal after altercation in Basildon pub

Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident in a pub in Basildon on Saturday evening.

Officers were called by paramedics to reports of a seriously injured man in The Jolly Friar in Whitmore Way at about 6.40pm on January 27.

Detective Sergeant Sandy Kelleher said: “The victim of this incident was left with serious injuries. I am sure this was traumatic for them and anyone in the pub that witnessed the attack.

If you have any information, or any dashcam footage from the area of Whitmore Way at this time, please contact police quoting incident number 986 of Saturday January 27.
