Appeal after burglaries in Basildon

Police appealing for witnesses and information following two incidents in Basildon which may be linked.

The first is an attempted burglary at a property in Downey Close shortly before 2.20am this morning, Monday February 13. Access to the address was not gained and nothing was taken (Crime reference 42/26475/23).

The second is a burglary at a property in Falkenham Rise at around 4am in which two cars were taken. One of the cars was recovered after it was involved in a collision nearby. No arrests have been made (Crime reference 42/26489/23).
