Appeal after cyclist injured in Southend collision

Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision that occurred in Southend.

A car and a cyclist were involved in the incident, which occurred at the junction of Hamstel Road and Southchurch Road at about 10.50pm on Wednesday July 7.

The cyclist, a man in his 50s, was riding a silver bike when the collision occurred. He was treated for minor injuries.

The car involved failed to stop at the scene and was last seen heading towards Hamstel Road. Police do not have a description of the vehicle, and would be keen to hear from anyone who can identify it.

Anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the collision, has dash cam or CCTV footage is being asked to come forward.
