Appeal after knifepoint robbery

Police are appealing for witnesses following a knifepoint robbery in Southend on Thursday August 31.

We received a report following a knifepoint robbery which took place at around 9am on Kilworth Avenue, close to Cromer Road.

The victim was approached by two men at around 9am on Kilworth Avenue, close to Cromer Road. One man demanded the contents of the victim’s bag, threatening him with a knife and attempting to assault him.

The victim managed to run from the scene and the one suspect stole the bag which contained money. The second suspect was standing against a doorway and ran from the scene.

One suspect is described as a white man with a yellow tint to his skin. He was around 22-year-old and of a slim build. He was clean shaven and wearing a black beanie hat, grey tracksuit bottoms.
