Appeal after man assaulted in Basildon

Police investigating a serious assault in Basildon are asking for the public’s help.

Officers were called to reports of an injured man at Ballards Walk, Basildon, around 9.15am yesterday, Friday April 19.
The man, aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital after he sustained a facial injury.

The suspect left the scene in a car and was described as a bald man in his early 40s. He was wearing a T-shirt and body warmer with light grey jogging bottoms.

Due to the time of day, police believe that there will have been people in the area and who might have seen the incident.
