Appeal after man found in Southend with stab wounds

Police are investigating after a man was assaulted in Southend this morning, Thursday 11 June.

Officers were called shortly before 4.10am after he was found injured in Victoria Avenue, near the Blue Boar pub.

The man, who is aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital with stab wounds. His condition was described as life threatening.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and enquiries remain ongoing.

Witnesses and anyone with information or footage are asked to call Southend CID on 101 quoting incident 113 of today.
