Appeal after man injured in Benfleet

Police investigating an assault in Benfleet are asking for the public’s help.

Officers were called to London Road following an assault at 6pm on Thursday November 17.

A man, aged in his 20s, had sustained two puncture wounds to his chest, believed to have occurred during an altercation in which the suspect was believed to have been armed with a knife.

A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of GBH and released on bail until Wednesday January 18, 2023.
