Appeal after teenager robbed by trio of cyclists in Southend

Police are appealing for information following a robbery in Southend last month.

A 17 year-old boy was walking with friends on High Street, near to the junction with London Road at around 6.45pm on Friday September 24 when they were approached by a group of three young men or teenagers on bikes who began to ride around them in circles.

One of the group told the victim to hand over his wallet and watch, which he did, and then the group rode off.

They have all been described as white.

One has been described as being around 14 years-old, 5ft 6ins tall, with blonde hair which looked like it had been permed. He was wearing a black or dark grey tracksuit, and a black balaclava.

The second is described as 6ft tall, broadly built, and wearing a dark grey Nike jumper, black tracksuit trousers, and a black balaclava.

The third is described as 5ft 7ins tall, and wearing a light-grey coloured hooded top and a black balaclava.
