Appeal after woman robbed in Basildon

Police are investigating a robbery that took place in Northlands Park, Basildon, on Saturday, March 13.

A woman aged in her 20s was walking through the park at around 1:30pm when she was approached from behind and pushed to the ground. A man then reached into her bag and took the loose money from within it.

The woman did not sustain any injuries.

The suspect is described as a white male, 6ft tall and aged around 28-years-old. He is described as having piercing green eyes and having green buzz-cut hair and wearing a navy-blue hoody and ripped black trousers.

Officer are appealing to anyone in the area who may have seen the incident, or can help identify the man, to call 101 quoting crime reference 42/44248/21.
