Appeal following alleged assault in Grays

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Grays.

Officers were called to Dock Road to reports that two people had been in collision with a vehicle at around 11.30pm on Thursday August 25.

They were both taken to hospital with injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening.

The incident is believed to be linked to an earlier altercation in a nearby pub.

A man and a woman were arrested at the scene on suspicion of GBH.

They have both been bailed until September 19 and 20.

Anyone with information about the incident, or who has footage of it which has not yet been passed to police is asked to contact them as soon as possible.
