Appeal following attempted vehicle theft and racially aggravated harassment in Leigh-on-Sea

Police are appealing for any information, witnesses or doorbell footage of an incident of racially aggravated harassment in Leigh-on-Sea.

Officers received reports of two suspects attempting to steal a vehicle in the street, a blue Toyota C-HR, in Woodside at about 12.30am on Saturday March 31.

When the owners of the vehicle saw the suspects, the suspects racially abused them as they left the scene, heading towards Linksway.

The suspects were both described as white men, aged between 16 and 25 years old, roughly 5ft 9in tall, slim, wearing black puffer jackets and jogging bottoms. One was wearing a white balaclava and the other was wearing a black balaclava.
