Appeal following incidents in Rayleigh

Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses following two incidents in Rayleigh.

Shortly after 12.40am on Wednesday March 13, police were called to an address in Bull Lane, following reports of suspects attempting to force entry to an address.

A short time later, at around 12.50am, officers were called by ambulance service colleagues to reports of an assault in Bardfield Way where a man had suffered an injury to his hand.

Police are keeping an open mind as to whether these incidents are linked and are asking anyone who may have witnessed anything or have any further information to submit a report at: or use the online Live Chat service available Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) between 10am-9pm.
