Appeal following serious assault in Leigh-on-Sea

Police are appealing for information following a suspected assault outside a pub in Leigh-on-Sea.

Officers were called at about 1am today, Sunday May 1, to reports that a man had sustained head injuries in an assault outside the Oakleigh pub in London Road.

The victim was taken to hospital by paramedics.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have been in the pub or in the area around this time to contact them.

Superintendent Shaun Kane said: “We believe several people may have seen this incident, or the moments before and after. They may have vital details that help us establish the events.”
