Appeal for information after shooting in Dagenham

Detectives have issued an urgent appeal for information after a man was left critically ill in a shooting in Dagenham.

Police were called shortly after 6.25pm on Thursday, April 29 to reports of a man with gunshot injuries in Maplestead Road.

Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service and found a man in his 20s with a gunshot injury to his face. His condition is being treated as critical but stable.

Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command (Trident) are investigating and enquiries continue. At this early stage, there have been no arrests.
