Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage following a serious collision in Southend yesterday, Monday June 29, and in particular want to speak to two people who may be key witnesses.

A black Suzuki left the road in Fossetts Way, was in collision in with a central kerb, and the rider, a man in his 40s, came to rest in the centre of a roundabout.

A man and a woman inside a white car, described as being a the similar size and shape to a Vauxhall Corsa, stopped to help the rider but left before officers arrived.

The rider was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

If you saw the collision, have any dash cam footage, recognise the two people who stopped or believe you are them, Police need you to call 101 quoting incident 895 of 29 June.
