Appeal for witnesses following robbery at shop in Leigh-on-Sea

Police are investigating a robbery at a shop in London Road, Leigh-on-Sea, and are looking to speak to any witnesses.

Two men entered Morrisons Daily shortly after 9.15pm on Sunday December 6.

One assaulted a staff member, and the other stole a charity box, a cash box, and a packet of tobacco.

The victim was left shaken but unhurt.

One of the men was described as white, wore a black hoody with writing on it, blue jogging bottoms, grey trainers and red and black workmen’s gloves.

The other was described as white, about 20 years old, and wore a black hooded jacket, grey tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.
