Appeal for witnesses to fight at Hornchurch pub

Detectives investigating a fight at the Sutton Arms pub on Station Lane in Hornchurch are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Police were called at 11.10pm Friday, July 24 following reports of an altercation inside the pub.

One man sustained a minor head injury and was treated at the scene.

Detective Constable Daniel Smith, who is leading the investigation, said: “Mobile phone footage of this incident has been widely shared online. What this footage shows is a significant number of people witnessed this altercation and we really need to speak to them to find out exactly what they saw.

“It is really important that we find out what you know as it could be significant to our investigation.”

There have been no arrests.
