Appeal to driver after schoolgirl is injured in Leigh

Police are appealing for a driver to come forward after a 12-year-old girl was injured in Leigh on Tuesday March 10.

The girl was crossing the road where Flemming Crescent meets Blenheim Chase at around 3.05pm when a collision occurred.

It is believed that a dark-coloured Hyundai or another 4X4 SUV-style vehicle was involved in the incident, which has left the girl with a broken foot.

It is understand that the male driver got out and spoke to the victim at the scene to check she was okay, but did not leave details.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Chigwell Roads Policing Unit on 101 quoting incident number 1017 of March 10.
