Police are appealing for any dashcam footage that can assist them in identifying the driver of a car that failed to stop for police in Basildon.
At about 1.45pm on Wednesday January 24, officers signalled to a grey BMW 5 series – with a registration beginning with K – to stop in Luncies Road.
The BMW failed to do so and was followed as it travelled through Linford Road, Kirby Road, Sandon Road, High Road and Chestnut Road.
The car was found with no occupants inside in Chestnut Road at about 2pm, and was recovered to be forensically searched.
It is believed the driver was a black man wearing a yellow high visibility vest.
