CONCORD RANGERS has confirmed that striker, Temi Babalola, has put pen to paper on a new deal at the Aspect Arena.

Babalola joined the Beach Boys from Brentwood Town in February and made an instant impression on the Canvey-based clubs’ supporters.

The lively frontman opened his account during Concord’s 3-3 draw with Tonbridge Angels – their last Vanarama National League South match before the earlier curtailment of football.

Speaking to Yellow Sport about securing the player for another season, boss, Danny Scopes, enthused: “Temi impressed me with how well he adapted to National South football in the short period from after we signed him.

“He was improving every game with fitness, effective with assists and scored a great first goal in that short space of time. It would have been a stirring last ten games for the young man.

Scopes added: “Temi is an exciting young prospect. We are looking forward to helping him establish himself as a National South player next season. He certainly ticks all the boxes.”
