Essex Eagles made it back-to-back Royal London One Day Cup victories as Middlesex were sent packing by nine wickets at the Cloudfm County Ground, Chelmsford.
Shane Snater took 3/45, while Ryan ten Doeschate (2/26) and Simon Harmer (2/39) helped Essex reduce Middlesex to 212 – Jack davies top-scoring for the visitors with 70 – Robbie White contributing 47.

But Essex made short work of the chase. Despite losing Will Buttleman for 23, caught by Sam Robson off a ball from Ethan Bamber – Alastair Cook finished unbeaten on 92 from 111 balls, while Tom Westley’s 113-minute stint in the middle gleaned 87* to help the hosts over the line with the minimum of fuss.
Essex Eagles return to Royal London One Day Cup action on Thursday, July 29 when Worcestershire Rapids visit the Cloudfm County Ground (11am).
