Dagenham & Redbridge 2-2 Boreham Wood
Spirited Dagenham & Redbridge recovered a two-goal deficit to earn a share of the Vanarama National League spoils from an entertaining clash with Boreham Wood at the Chigwell Construction Stadium.
Paul McCallum had an early effort chalked off. However, it was the visitors who went on to seize control with Corey Whitely profiting from Gus Mafuta’s toil on the stroke of half-time, then Shaq Coulthirst doubling the advantage after the restart – Whitely providing the opening.
But the Daggers refused to throw in the towel. Angelo Balanta nodded the East Londoners back into it. Then, against his former employers, Balanta grabbed his and the hosts second in the final minutes to level the contest.
The Daggers move up to seventeenth as a result. They return to Vanarama National League action on Tuesday, March 9 when Maidenhead United visit the Chigwell Construction Stadium (7pm).
