Barrow AFC v Dagenham & Redbridge – Preview:
Dagenham & Redbridge put their recent unbeaten run on the line when they head to Cumbria for their rearranged Vanarama National League clash with leaders, Barrow AFC, at Holker Street.
The Daggers midweek trip to Barnet fell foul of the weather. However, their 2-0 victory over Solihull Moors at the Chigwell Construction Stadium a week ago was the east Londoners fourth without defeat, lifting them two places and a point above the dropzone.
And with relegation rivals, Chesterfield, also picking up form, that sequence has been vital for Daryl McMahon’s men as they look to clamber away from the foot of the table.
Dagenham face a Barrow side five points clear at the top, this despite two draws and a defeat amongst their last five outings.
The Bluebirds will be looking to complete a league double over the Daggers following a 2-0 success at Victoria Road back in October.
McMahon has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the treck north. Speaking to www.daggers.co.uk after the win over Solihull, the Irishman enthused: “It was a good performance, great to get another clean sheet – We’ve conceded one goal in five games now, so that’s terrific.
Jeevesie’s prediction: Barrow AFC 2-1 Dagenham & Redbridge
