Ebbsfleet United v Concord Rangers – Vanarama National League South – Stonebridge Road – Tuesday 7:45pm – Preview
Despite his frustrations due to inactivity, Danny Scopes will almost have a fully fit squad to select from when his Concord Rangers side head across the river to face Ebbsfleet United on Tuesday evening.
The Beach Boys have played just one of their last three Vanarama National League South fixtures due to COVID concerns. But with several of the squad utilising that time for rest and recuperation, Scopes is hoping the group are in a position to make the most of an opportunity against an Ebbsfleet side that has struggled for consistency this season.
“As frustrating as it was, Saturday’s postponement with Hampton & Richmond Borough was the right thing to do,” Scopes told Yellow Sport.
“On the plus side, we head to Ebbsfleet close to full strength. The game itself offers challenges. They are a full-time club – expectation on them is high and many people believe we have nothing to lose.
“But we back ourselves. We are fresh, raring to go and confident with the Billericay result having handed us a boost.
Scopes added: “We will be as competitive as we possibly can. It’s really all about enjoying every game we play. Of course, it has been another strange season but we must continue to approach it in the ‘Concord way’.
