Beckles strike earns O’s a point at Barrow

Barrow v Leyton Orient – Sky Bet League Two – Holker Street – Report

Barrow 1-1 Leyton Orient

A goal from Omar Beckles midway through the second half ensured Leyton Orient a share of the Sky Bet League Two spoils against fellow promotion hopefuls, Barrow at Holker Street.

Beckles scrambled home from close range after Ruel Sotiriou had nodded Theo Archibald’s flag-kick into his path.

Earlier, Barrow had taken the lead three minutes after the restart. Robbie Gotts – on loan with the Cumbrians from Leeds United – profited from Remeao Hutton’s toil before dispatching beyond O’s stopper, Lawrence Vigouroux.

Archibald went close for the East Londoners late on. The draw leaves them in sixth place, two points off the automatic promotion places.

Leyton Orient return to Sky Bet League Two action on Saturday, October 16 when Walsall visit the Breyer Group Stadium (3pm).
