Bees prepare in double-quick time

BASILDON UNITED wasted little time in shaping their squad following the announcement surrounding the return of non-league football.

The Bees confirmed no less than ten of last seasons squad had agreed to remain at Gardiners Close, while three exciting new arrivals have given United supporters plenty to be optimistic about.

Promising goalkeeper, Josh Blackburn, along with Billy Purdy, Khadhean Campbell, Jimmy Cox, Conor Tyrel, Jamie Marsh, Albert Perry, Joe Howard, Kye Jude and Joe Staunton will all remain with the New Town outfit. Meanwhile, potent frontman, Luke Hornsley, arrives after hitting an avalanche of goals at Isthmian League North rivals, Hullbridge Sports.

Experienced striker, Jay Nash comes in from ProKit UK Essex Olympian League Premier Division side, Catholic United – the player having previously represented Dagenham & Redbridge, Great Wakering Rovers, Grays Athletic and Romford.

Bolstering the midfield is Kiah Froud who returns for a second spell at the club, having also turned out for Concord Rangers, Tilbury and Great Wakering Rovers during his career.
