Bilic urges for togetherness at West Ham

FORMER WEST HAM UNITED manager, Slaven Bilic, believes David Moyes is the right man to pull the east Londoners away from the Premier League dropzone and the Croat has urged for the players and supporters to unite as they look to turn their troubled campaign around.

The Hammers face huge matches against unbeaten league leaders, Liverpool, then fellow-strugglers, Brighton & Hove Albion, at the London Stadium over the next few days, and with the threat of relegation hanging heavily over the club, Bilic initially referred to his own experiences in the Hammers hot-seat.

Speaking after his West Bromwich Albion side had dispatched West Ham from the FA Cup last weekend, the Croat said: “Yes, and I’ve been there with kind of similar – maybe not the same, but similar. But it was earlier in the season.

“Look, David (Moyes) can do that, definitely – that is without question. He is the man, he is the man who done it before. He is the man who has that one hundred per cent.

“The players have to do it, and they’ve done it before and they have to do it now.

“But now, what is very important is the crowd. It is the crowd to recognise the situation and to be behind the team – be behind the club – behind West Ham because they are crucial now.”
