Mark Harmer provided the highlight from Billericay 2nds draw with their Old Southendian & Southchurch counterparts at Blunts Wall Road.

Harmer scored 79 before edging a delivery from Dylan Batt into the gloves of Stanley Cornwell. Lachlan Kerr finished unbeaten on 50, while opening batter, Stuart Hynes contributed 44 to the home side’s competitive total of 266/6. Joe Madren was the pick of the Old Southendian attack, returning figures of four for 74 from his sixteen overs.

Despite the efforts of Kerr, who claimed impressive figures of 4/19 off fourteen overs. Billericay were to be frustrated by a dogged Old Boys order.

Billericay remains just outside the promotion places, while the Old Boys are hovering just hazardously above the dropzone.
