Vanarama National League side Southend United have confirmed the permanent signing of striker Danny Waldron from National League North outfit Rushall Olympic.
The talented 27-year-old arrives at Roots Hall Stadium for an undisclosed fee on a one-and-a-half-year deal. The player, who previously represented Halesowen Town, Leamington and Alvechurch, has found the net sixteen times so far this campaign.
Speaking to www.southendunited.co.uk on joining the club, Waldron said: “I’m pleased to get it over the line. It’s exciting times. I’ve been working alongside playing for Rushall so I’m glad it’s finally done and I’m just looking forward to getting to training, getting to know the lads and playing games.”
“I saw all sorts of rumours going around in November but I didn’t know anything about it. Then my agent messaged me around Boxing Day and since then, it’s been ongoing talks to try and get it sorted.”
