Blues latest winding-up petition adjourned

TROUBLED SKY BET LEAGUE TWO outfit, Southend United, have been handed more time after a winding-up petition against them was adjourned.

This was the fourth time this particular request has been delayed. The Roots hall Stadium club no have until October 28 to stump up £493,991 they owe to the HMRC.

Blues fans have taken to social media airing their grave concerns at the situation, this on the same day Macclesfield Town FC were wound-up in the High Court over debts totalling more than half a million pounds.

Southend current sit bottom of the EFL following Saturday’s 4-0 annihilation at home to newly-promoted Harrogate Town.
