Carli Lansley Foundation FC v Farke Knight Rises FC – Goals, Southend -The Carli Lansley Foundation – Charity Match – Sunday, January 8 (5pm)

Southend United legends Adam Barrett and Steve Tilson will be in action for the newly formed Carli Lansley Foundation FC when they take on Farke Knight Rises at Goals, Southend (opposite Southend Hospital) on Sunday, January 8 (5pm).

The Carli Lansley Foundation was established in 2018 by Blues supporter Karl Lansley and his two children, Jessica and Ethan after tragically losing his wife Carli from Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS) at the age of only 36.

The Carli Lansley Foundation is based in Southend and has provided free ECG screenings to over 1,200 young people aged between 14 and 35, helping detect previous undiagnosed heart conditions.

The squad is primarily comprised of players from Southend Sunday League side Kingston Athletic, which ran from 1991 to 2006 and they aim to play five to six games a year to raise awareness/donations for the charity. Former Blues skipper, Barrett lines up as the charity’s patron.

Local football enthusiasts are encouraged to support the event. Admission at the gate is just £2 with all funds raised going to the charity.
