Boy, 12, remains in hospital after being stabbed in Pitsea

Police are progressing their investigation into an assault on a boy in Pitsea.

The 12-year-old victim has been treated for a knife wound to his back following the incident in Mayfair Avenue on Monday August 24.

Detective Inspector Sophie Hammonds said: “He is now in a stable condition in hospital, where he is being kept in as a precaution.”

Four teenagers remain in custody for questioning. A girl and three boys, all aged 14, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
