Police have charged a 14-year-old boy in connection with a stabbing in Grays.
Officers were called after a 15-year-old boy sustained stab wounds on King George’s Field, known locally as Blackshots Field, near Jesmond Road, Grays, at about 5.15pm on Monday evening.
The victim suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital.
A 14-year-old boy from Chafford Hundred has now been charged with GBH with intent.
He was due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates Court today.
